Andre Brandt – “The Ice Jacket is my absolute favorite.”

He rides 12–14 horses every day, is sensitive to the cold, but hasn’t felt chilly since spring 2020. That was when André Brandt became a team rider for Uhip.

“Ice Jacket is my absolute favorite,” says one of Swedish equestrian sport’s biggest jumping talents as we catch him at Magic Park Stables in Tyringe, Skåne.
Now, as we head into warmer and more comfortable weather, even André has to put his Ice Jacket aside in favor of the 365 jackets. Otherwise, he and the Ice series, as people often say, have been a match made in heaven. Already in the autumn, André kicks off the Ice season, alternating the jacket with the longer coat. From then on, he practically “lives” in Uhip’s winter clothes during all his waking hours until late spring.
– I really like Uhip’s clothes, and I enjoy the long-term collaboration we have together. I like simple communication, and that’s exactly what I have with Uhip. It’s very uncomplicated and smooth. Every time I call with a question, I get a quick answer. It’s simple but very professional at the same time, says André.
Describing André Brandt as a hardworking rider would be an understatement. He is not only one of the country’s top competition riders, with everything that entails, but in everyday life he works as a rider and trainer at Royne Zettermans’ facility in Skåne, riding up to 14 horses a day. He combines this professional puzzle with the role of trainer at home in Ronneby on certain days. That’s when it becomes extra important to know how to dress correctly.

Even during competitions, he follows a well-thought-out dress code:
– At competitions, I think it looks good to match the blazer with a 365 vest over it. Then I have a 365 jacket in the same color over the vest. I like being able to take off one piece while still keeping the same style.
What will be your next Uhip piece?
– I’m going to try the rain jacket now. It’s arriving soon, and that will be my next piece.
