Warranty & Claims Policy

Sometimes things don’t go as planned, and an issue may occur. We want you to be fully satisfied with your Uhip garment and are always happy to assist you to ensure your claim is handled as smoothly as possible.

We want you to feel confident when shopping with us. That’s why we offer a warranty inaccordance with Swedish consumer protection law. For us, quality is about both functionality and durability, and our warranty covers original defects in materials and workmanship.

How do I make a claim?

You can easily register your claim in one of the following ways:

  • Via Uhip Friends under “Orders”

  • Via the email you received when your order was shipped (“Your order from Uhip is on its way…”). Click the “My order…” link and register your claim there (please also check your spam folder)

If this is not possible, you are welcome to contact us at claim@uhipwear.com.
Please include:

  • Name, address, and phone number

  • Product model, color, and size

  • Order number or a copy/photo of your receipt

  • Photos or a short film clearly showing the issue

We will get back to you within 1–4 business days. During peak seasons, campaigns, or holidays, processing times may be slightly longer.

Please note that we are unfortunately unable to handle claims in our store in Täby.

What applies?

Uhip offers a 24-month warranty covering manufacturing and material defects. In addition, under Swedish consumer law, you have a 3-year right to make a claim, provided the issue is deemed to be an original defect and proof of purchase can be provided.

Claims should be made within a reasonable time, normally within two months from when the issue was discovered.

What is considered a valid claim?

For a claim to be approved, the issue must be an original defect, meaning a manufacturing or material fault that existed at the time of delivery or becomes apparent during the warranty period.

Examples include:

  • Manufacturing defects in seams or construction

  • Defective materials or components that do not meet expected quality

What is not covered?

Normal wear and tear and damage caused by use are not covered.

Examples include:

  • Tears or damage caused by external impact or accidents

  • Damage resulting from incorrect washing or handling

  • Pilling occurring over time

  • Fabric wear such as abrasion or thinning areas

  • Wear at cuffs or seams

  • Fading or color changes over time

  • Damage caused by friction (e.g. from backpacks or Velcro)

These types of changes are a natural result of use and are considered product characteristics rather than defects.

Our approach to sustainability

We want you to be able to use your Uhip garment for a long time. Our products are designed for active use in varying weather conditions, but like all textiles, they are affected by wear over time.

As part of our sustainability approach, we aim to offer repair solutions whenever possible rather than replacing products. If repair is not possible, we will replace the item. If a replacement is not available, we offer a refund or store credit.

Returned items from approved claims are either recycled or given a new life through our Reuse program.
