The waxed jacket has long been a natural choice for country life: timeless, durable and full of character. But waxed fabrics require care, and the jacket cannot be washed like regular clothing. With the Field riding jacket and riding coat, we’ve captured the elegance of the classic waxed jacket and combined it with the performance of a true Uhip jacket.
The cotton and polyamide outer fabric offers a 10,000 mm waterproof rating, with taped seams to protect against wind and rain. Breathability of 8,000 g/m²/24 h helps wick away moisture when the pace picks up. Sorona® insulation provides lightweight, comfortable warmth, and when your jacket needs freshening up, simply pop it in the washing machine.

Is Field waxed?
No. Field has the classic look of a traditional oilskin or waxed jacket but is made from a technical cotton and polyamide fabric. It doesn’t need waxing and can be machine washed.
Is Field waterproof?
The outer fabric has a 10,000 mm waterproof rating, and the taped seams provide reliable protection against rain and wind.
How do I wash my Field jacket?
Close all zippers, turn the jacket inside out and machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C using a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener or tumble dry.
Can I ride in Field?
Yes. Field has all the features you’d expect from a riding jacket or riding coat. The high back slit with snap buttons and concealed two-way zipper allow freedom of movement in the saddle.
Can the collar be removed?
The rib-knit collar is attached to a detachable, lightly insulated front panel that fastens with a zipper, providing extra warmth when needed. The corduroy collar remains attached to the jacket.
What’s the difference between the Field Coat and the Field Jacket?
The Field Coat is longer, offering more coverage, and features leg straps. The Field Jacket is shorter and offers greater freedom of movement. Both feature a 10,000 mm waterproof rating, taped seams, a two-way zipper, a back slit and a detachable insulated front panel.
